Description:     Summer of Love or Will You Get Burned? Last August 5, 2011, Standard and Poor's dropped a bomb on a Friday afternoon, after most of Wall Street had taken the weekend off. They lowered the credit rating of the U.S., placing our country's credit beneath that of a lot of countries, including Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. (France has since joined U.S.) There was anticipation that this might happen, so the slide in the stock market began in July, and over 30 days, the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 2000 points.
