Meet Jimmy Carbone — Host of Beer Sessions Radio
Launched in early 2010 by NYC restaurateur/sommelier Jimmy Carbone and the late Ray Deter (RIP), Beer Sessions Radio is the longest continuously running show on Heritage Radio Network! Now in its 15th year, the show continues to spotlight the people, places, and pints shaping the world of craft beer, wine, and spirits.
Jimmy is no stranger to the scene. A longtime NYC alcohol buyer, he owned the beloved East Village spot Jimmy’s No. 43, known for its curated beer list and greenmarket-inspired menu.
He also co-founded The Good Beer Seal, an organization that celebrates bars offering at least 80% craft domestic or specialty imported beer — all served in unique, community-driven spaces.
Beyond the mic and the taproom, Jimmy is the founder of Food Karma Projects, a creative events company known for producing food and media experiences throughout New York.
He’s also the co-author of I Like Pig: Recipes and Inspiration from New York City’s Pig Island, a cookbook that was a finalist for an IACP Award.
So whether you’re a hophead or just love a good food-and-drink story — grab a pint and tune in to Beer Sessions Radio.
