Introducing:

Business of Drinks

business of drinks

Welcome to the Business of Drinks, the newest show to join us on HRN!

In each episode, co-hosts Erica Duecy and Scott Rosenbaum go behind the bottle, interviewing beverage innovators and icons about how they built their businesses.

They take a data-driven approach, analyzing the brands, products, and categories that get consumers excited.

And they cover many drinks categories

— from wine, beer, and spirits to non-alcohol drinks — as well as THC, adaptogen, and functional beverages.

Their first episode with us is a peek behind the scenes with BRĒZ Founder and CEO Aaron Nosbisch. BRĒZ blends THC, CBD, lion’s mane and adaptogens

into a next-gen social beverage — and it’s a $28M drinks brand built in just 2 years. Listen to the show for the full story.

Meet Jessie!

Outside of HRN, I am a chef, writer, and database programmer!

I recently ate at Chaat Bhavan, my favorite vegetarian Indian restaurant in the South Bay Area. They were celebrating their 16th anniversary and had a special thali with so many delicious little curries, soups, and breads. I’m always so impressed with the depth of flavor they’re able to achieve and the variety of dishes. I’m looking forward to trying to recreate some of them soon!

When I’m not working on a story, I am preparing for my 2 week honeymoon in Japan! I can’t wait to eat our way through the country and would love any/all recommendations.

Jessie

HRN in the News

As a nonprofit dedicated to powerful food storytelling, it’s nice to be on the receiving end and get some press!

Ear Worthy, a publication that spotlights independent shows and podcast industry trends, recently talked with us about all things HRN.

Read on and see how we produce the biggest (and dare we say best?) collection of food and drink shows out there.

What We’re Making

Oi-muchim 오이무침

Our fellow Jessie shared one of their go-to recipes—and it’s a total winner.

Straight from the beloved Korean cooking queen Maangchi, Oi-Muchim (spicy cucumber salad) is a spicy, bold, refreshing banchan that goes with just about everything.

Give it a try and tag us @heritage_radio — we’d love to see your creations!
