After 50 years of preparing and serving this casserole, "Kimmie" shared the recipe with her granddaughter for her to make for the first time. Julia more than rose to the occasion and followed the recipe to a T. Wellllll, with a little hop at the end. *That "hop" was cooking it for an extra hour to be super duper extra careful not to poison us. Let's see, what else? We discovered rice, in a pinch, will do as the vegetable. Ty will make kimchi when he's good and ready - my GOD is he ready. We played the newly titled "Whatchamacallit," Julia will call a Margarita a "Hazy Miasma" for the rest of her life and, most importantly, we enjoyed each other's company while eating that unforgettable dish.
