Mere hours ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Helsinki, Finland to conduct a controversial, yet highly-anticipated, summit with President Donald Trump, who arrived in the country on Sunday. Further fueling the fires of speculation between the two leaders, on Friday, Robert Mueller indicted 12 Russian Intelligence Officers for hacking the Democratic Party's emails before the 2016 Presidential Election. Still, however, President Trump elected to proceed with the meeting, tweeting: "Our relationship with Russia has NEVER been worse thanks to many years of U.S. foolishness and stupidity and now , the Rigged Witch Hunt!" Join us, this morning, as a plethora of guests -- including Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Richard Engel, Amb. Wendy Sherman, Andrea Mitchell, and Peter Baker -- breakdown what they're expecting from today's meeting, and how the U.S.-Russia relationship may fair. It's Monday, July 16, 2018. Welcome to a special edition of Morning Joe. |
