Last night, President Donald Trump appeared at a campaign rally in Great Falls, Montana in front of 6,500 supporters, where he took aim at Former President George H.W. Bush and his "Thousand Points of Light" mantra he used during his 1989 Inaugural Address. The current President mocked the phrase as something that, generally, nobody understood nor wanted to hear -- asserting that his "Make America Great Again" was a more effective tagline. "Let's Make America Great Again" was, originally, used by Ronald Reagan, however. The President also, more notably, trashed the North Atlantic Treaty Organization; and, specifically, spoke on how unfairly the United States has been treated in the tenure of its membership. With us, this morning, we have Mike Allen from Axios -- he's here to explain just what President Trump is trying to achieve by igniting a feud with NATO. Later in the episode, the panel discuss EPA Chief Scott Pruitt's resignation amid a slew of ethics violations being laid out against him. It's Friday, July 6th, 2018. Welcome to Morning Joe.
