Attorney for the President, Rudy Giuliani, appeared on Fox News last night to criticize top officials from the FBI in regards to a new massive report released by the Department of Justice's Inspector General. The IG's report delves into the FBI's investigation into possible Russian collusion in the 2016 Presidential Election to benefit the Trump campaign. In particular, Giuliani singled out FBI agent, and formerly one of the heads of the Russia investigation, Peter Strzok, who, as the IG's report revealed, sent 'anti-Trump' text messages to his at-the-time lover, FBI lawyer Lisa Page. Saying, "We'll stop it," referring to Trump's chance at the presidency. That said, last year, when Robert Mueller got wind of Strzok's text messages to Lisa Page, Mueller removed Strzok from his position. Giuliani, nonetheless, has called for an immediate end to the Mueller investigation and that Strzok be thrown in jail "by the end of next week." Meanwhile, The White House's handling of its controversial immigration legislation and the systematic removal of children from their rightful families and into southern U.S. detention centers has representatives across the aisle crying foul. Attorney General Jeff Sessions defended the Administration's "zero-tolerance" immigration policy, even citing the bible as a cop-out. Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders piggy-backed on the bible defense -- saying in a press conference, yesterday, "It is very biblical to enforce the law." |
