On the heels of the unprecedented summit between North Korea and the United States, President Donald Trump has repeatedly showered North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un with, some say, undue and unnecessary amounts of praise -- especially given Kim's record of a particularly brutal form of rule. Even so, Congressional Republicans have remained largely silent on President Trump's sycophancy toward world leaders who lead with aggression. Recently, Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) spoke out against the "cultish" behavior of the GOP, who, to a fault, seem all too eager to support the President, no matter how cruel or polarizing his decisions may get. The Morning Joe panel, this morning, brings in a plethora of Congressional representatives, including Rep. Mark Sandford (R-SC), Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT), and Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) -- all commenting on Trump's blind rule, and how some of their colleagues have turned a blind eye to the consequences. |
