We're receiving more information regarding Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election, as the Senate releases a new report detailing upwards of 260 million engagements with content posted on Facebook and Instagram by the Russian-owned "Internet Research Agency." The Senate report found that the posts overwhelmingly supported then-candidate Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton and worked to suppress Democratic voters, especially African-Americans. Meanwhile, former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn is set to be sentenced later today for lying to the FBI. However, the Mueller probe is suggesting no jail time for Flynn, given his contributions to the investigation. It's Tuesday, December 18th, 2018. Welcome to Morning Joe. |
