This morning, as members of the migrant caravan are being met at the southern border of the United States with tear gas and confusion, we're hearing new information about clashes and conflicting ideas within the White House. Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen were reportedly at odds with President Trump over his declaration authorizing border security to use lethal force against migrants, "if they have to," according to Trump. The controversial decision by the president comes as newly-released reporting from Politico is spelling out warning signs for his reelection bid, including record Democratic gains in the house and a lackluster Presidential approval rating. It's Monday, November 26th, 2018. Welcome to Morning Joe. |
