In Episode 5 We take a single verse found in Mark 1:12 and unpack it.  “The Spirit then compelled Jesus to go into the wilderness”.  The Wilderness represents so much and we try to help connect some of those ideas.
– The wilderness as the gate in transitioning from the first half of life into the second half of life
– The deep loss of God that often occurs in the wilderness.
– The loss of certainty
– How fracture  and some experiential disappointment calls one to the wilderness
– How the wilderness feels like loss when it is actually growth.

This Podcast utilizes the New Living Translation to take advantage of its contemporary language if for no other reason.  The mission of this podcast is to help listeners explore the deep shift from Ego-Centricity to Cosmic-Centricity while also coming to a deeper appreciation of the Jesus of the New Testament as an incredible example of what that development looks like.
