Description:
Tom starts the show talking with Seth Neumann about his modeling interests including the industry of the East San Francisco Bay and operations. Mike Slater provides a quick update for Grand Rails. Vera and Seth chat about layouts of whimsy in the area. Terry provides an extensive update but refuses to discuss his moonshine experiences. David Harris introduces his interests in N scale and the OpenLCB project. Bob Jacobsen of JMRI fame calls in to talk JMRI, OpenLCB and some layouts that use aspects of JMRI. If you use JMRI, please consider donate to cover Bob's extensive legal costs. Even if you don't use JMRI, please consider donating to the project. Murray discusses building O scale farm buildings with sticks from trees on his property. The Professor and Murray talk about a clinic that has taught thousands of young Australians about building phenomenal scenery. Tom quizzes the Professor on some of his local shops and the perennial discussion on what makes a great hobby shop. They continue on the other perennial topic of magazines. Ted Roy reminds Tom of the Jimmy Simmons kit contest that will continue past Grand Rails. Ted talks about his exploration through JMRI and programming locos. Graeme Nitz and the Professor rap about modeling Australian broad-gauge in Oklahoma. Tom provides an update on Grand Rails - he will be there and recording all the audio he can find. There will be a short show coming out in July prior to Grand Rails featuring Chris and Tom chatting like it was an early show. If you are attending Grand Rails, please contact Tom (tom at modelrailradio dot com). This is a live internet radio show recorded at 4.30pm Pacific on Saturday every-other-week.
