	Description:		Friday, October 13, 2006 6:30 p.m. Yuri Masnyj's sculptures and works on paper meticulously investigate form and color, juxtaposing figuration and abstraction. Masnyj appropriates material from everyday life, art history, and contemporary culture, transforming it through fragmentation, line, gesture, and structure. He is a graduate of The Cooper Union and has exhibited internationally and in New York, most recently in the 2006 Whitney Biennial and P.S.1's Greater New York 2005.
