Description: With the bank holiday weekend upon us Paraic focused on greenhouse gardening and suggested a varitey of vegetables suitable for planting: tomatoes, peppers, chillies, aubergine and some of the softer herbs. Paraic also advised on starting hanging baskets and suggested that plants shoudld be grown on for a week or two in advance of planting up fully. With lawn care still a challenge for many tips included moss treatment, greening up and treating bare patches. Listeners questions ranged from creating a cottage garden and sowing Hamamelis Jelena to protecting newly sown hedging against aphids and information on the Pheasant Berry shrub.
