For nearly fifty years, Tom McGuane has written stories that probe family dysfunction and American loneliness, while celebrating our ability to persist through life's absurdities. McGuane's new collection Cloudbursts features forty-five of these stories that span his career. Cloudbursts takes us from the seedy corners of Key West, to the remote shorelines of the Bahamas, to McGuane's hallmark Big Sky Country.
Tom McGuane will be in conversation with Richard Powers, followed by Q&A and signing, on March 6 at 7 pm at the New York Public Library (Steven A. Schwarzman Building, 476 5th Avenue).
This segment is guest hosted by DW Gibson.
