Description:

This episode, as always, is brought to you by the law offices of E. Jason Blankenship, who may be socially distanced from the courthouse but is still taking on clients. You can find his new website here.

You can follow Connor on Twitter and subscribe to his newsletter, A Lonely Impulse of Delight, that includes literary analysis of Calvin & Hobbes and, blissfully, nothing about Michigan athletics. Dan is not a writer but he is @ThiccStauskas on Twitter. If you’d like to hear more, the two co-host the newly titled Yet Another Michigan Football Podcast. Alex Cook you know from his writings here, and his blog about The Grand Castle.

[Writeup after the jump]

SEGMENT ONE: THE MEETING, DISCUSSED

The news that Jim Harbaugh is, as anticipated, sitting down with Warde Manuel to discuss contract terms elicited more of a fan reaction than we expected. What, if anything, should we take out of this? Yes, this could be a real extension offer; it could also be a continuation of talks intended to slowly push Harbaugh out the door. We don’t know!

SEGMENT TWO: RECRUITING BY POSITION GROUP

While occasionally getting into the specifics, we do our best to cover the thousand-foot view of the 2021 recruiting class, assessing the strength of each position group and our overall thoughts on the class. Also, our thoughts on how a better-than-anticipated Signing Day should impact the Harbaugh talks. (Short answer: not much.)

SEGMENT THREE: HOOPS WSG ALEX COOK

Alex and I take the chance during this hoops hiatus of sorts to discuss impressions on the team thus far, Hunter Dickinson, the backup center situation, Hunter Dickinson, potential developments in the rotations, Hunter Dickinson, updated expectations for the season, and Hunter Dickinson.
