The Atlanta Falcons faced the Miami Dolphins in the first of two days of joint practices. By several accounts, the Falcons won the battle in the trenches, while the Dolphins might have won the battle at the skill position. Host Aaron Freeman breaks down which trench players shined and who got put in the spin cycle by Dolphins wideout Tyreek Hill.
Later, he discusses the injury to rookie cornerback Clark Phillips, who was carted off. Reports indicate that Phillips will be day-to-day and Aaron discusses how that might affect the ongoing battle with Dee Alford and Mike Hughes for the starting nickel cornerback position. Finally, he discusses a new nickname for rookie running back Bijan Robinson and answers some listener questions about where the Falcons are strongest and weakest in terms of depth.
