The Atlanta Falcons may not be in the market for a new starting quarterback, but that won't stop many from projecting them to take one at the top of the 2023 NFL Draft. Host Aaron Freeman breaks down the latest "QB-only" mock from Mike Renner (@ProFootballFocus) where the Falcons select Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson. He discusses how Richardson's athletic and physical gifts could help the Falcons offense become more explosive, but his inconsistent accuracy could also make things a lot less efficient. He discusses why mainstream NFL media types like Renner continue to push quarterbacks on the Falcons, whether it be Richardson, Lamar Jackson, and others despite all indications that the team is content at the position with second-year passer Desmond Ridder.
Finally, Aaron answers listener questions including where Ridder stacks up against this year's draft class, how much non-Falcons All-22 film he watches during the season, and where the Falcons roster stacks up in the division midway through the offseason.
