The Atlanta Falcons will be dealing with a windfall of salary cap space entering the 2023 offseason, essentially giving head coach Arthur Smith and general manager Terry Fontenot a fresh start to build the roster in their own vision. Brad Spielberger (@ProFootballFocus) joins Aaron Freeman to discuss if the Falcons' cap space will be used to revamp and rebuild their defense, and where they should land on their quarterback quandary. Should they take a big swing on Lamar Jackson, ride with Desmond Ridder, or go for an "option C." Brad also explains how a team that pays Jackson this offseason can structure his contract to make it more manageable under the salary cap. Finally, they discuss some possible free-agent signings the Falcons could make including safety Jessie Bates (Cincinnati Bengals), defensive ends Jadeveon Clowney (Cleveland Browns) and Marcus Davenport (New Orleans Saints), and offensive tackle Kaleb McGary.
