Tiny bottles of shampoo, soap, and lotion are slowly disappearing from hotel rooms. And not in the normal way, where you scoop them all into your bag and collect them in your medicine cabinet. Hotel chains are replacing the bottles with wall-mounted dispensers in the bathroom. Marriott, says the Wall Street Journal, plans to switch 1,900 of its hotels to the new system this year, and InterContinental Hotels Group is switching too. Wall dispensers save hotels time, money, and plastic. |
