The people have spoken and the US election is over. However, a quick view of social media will tell you that the damage is just starting to happen now. I don't mean that in a political way. I mean that in the most personal way possible. People are losing their minds. There have been riots, hatred, families being torn apart by their differing political views, fear, panic attacks and even threats of moving to Canada. You are stressing yourself out and ruining your life and health over something you can't control and can't change. Entering into the stress response of fight or flight is the precursor to disease, early death and an abundance of mental anguish. To quote Bob Newhart from a classic Mad TV episode "Stop it!" Stop doing this to yourself. On this podcast, we discuss strategies to help snap you out of fear mode and get your head and body working properly again. What we cover:
3 simple things that you can do right away to snap your body out of that fear curdling, almost panic attack like feeling that you get when you believe the worst is yet to come.
The head vs. heart dichotomy. Yes it's true, both your head and your heart are necessary to live your best life but never let your emotions overrun your logical mind.
Plan for the worst, hope for the best. Is your life risk proof? I'm willing to bet that it's not.
