Handicapped, disabled, differently-abled, "special" people-whatever we call these members of the human family (who don't all agree on what to call their collective experiences)-there are people among us whom society has done its best to ignore. The Americans With Disabilities Act mandated that any expansion of existing facilities or new building projects must offer full public access to everyone, regardless of their physical limitations. While the provisions of the ADA may help some wheelchair bound or motion-impaired people, what about other forms of discrimination against other types of disabled, handicapped, or differently-abled persons? Dr. Shepherd's special guests, Unity Institute® and Seminary student Melody Martin and Early childhood specialist Ann Pogue, have firsthand knowledge of these challenges. UI professor Rev.
