	Description:		Cheryl Esposito welcomes Dennis Genpo Merzel- roshi, Zen Master & founder of the Kanzeon International Sangha. He has authored books including Big Mind, Big Heart: Finding Your Way and The Path of the Human Being: Zen Teachings on the Bodhisattva Way. In 1971 Merzel had his first "awakening experience." He spent a year alone in the mountains of California. He decided to dedicate his life to understanding who he was & how he could be of service to humanity. Zen Master D. Genpo Merzel is a revolutionary in the tradition of the old Zen Masters who so embodied Buddhist teaching that they were able to revitalize and transform it for their own day & age. Roshi developed the "Big Mind process," a composite of Zen & western psychological techniques to transmit the essence of Zen teachings in a way that is accessible & relevant to Westerners.
