On today's show, we remember William Barbour, a respected Labrador Inuit leader who passed away last week. We also hear some tributes to him. With winter upon us, and the temperatures already falling well below zero at night, we find out why it may be a very tough time ahead for the homeless population in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. On Friday, the government's speaker of the assembly was dismissed from his job after his membership as a beneficiary was revoked. We play you some of Edward Blake-Rudkowski's video statement released yesterday. Today marks the start of National Addictions Awareness Week and the Nunatsiavut Government has some events lined up. Paws Pet Boutique is used to selling dog food, but now, they get to donate over 4 thousand pounds of dry kibbles to the SPCA. We learn more about that. We don't know a lot about what is living deep in the bottom of our oceans like the Labrador Sea but the Department of Fisheries and Oceans is trying to figure that out. We find out why. |
