SPOILER ALERT! Spoilers for Agents of SHIELD season 3 up to about episode 6 or 7 starting at 1:13:40 and ending at 1:21:55.
Sooooooooooooo, yeah. Been a while. But here’s a new (old?) episode! And there’s a much more recent one coming in a day or two! (It’s been crazy guys, seriously.)
Anyway, in this episode, Karen and Maggie are joined by the Illustrious Michelle to talk about their trip to Rhinebeck, where lots of yarn, geekery and food were had by all. And good thing they have Rhinebeck to talk about, as Karen and Maggie were both working on swap stuff which they couldn’t really discuss at the time, which makes for a preeeety short discussion about what they’re knitting. Maggie did get some work done on designing the Bob Socks, though! When Karen’s done the swap thing she has the Mulberry Scarf and the Honey Cowl to do for her mother and she has dreams of someday starting Lilli Pilli. Of course what she really needs is a new hobby, so of course she acquired a sewing machine (and a nascent fabric stash). Michelle is working on the Granite Ridge and Pont Neuf sweaters.
In Geek Squee, Karen saw The Martian and LOVED IT SO MUCH OMG BEST MOVIE EVER (Michelle saw it too and loved it!) and saw and enjoyed the new James Bond movie, Spectre. And for even more squeeing, the trailers for Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them and Captain America: Civil War have come out! They also discuss Agents of SHIELD up to that point in the season (Message from the future: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA *SOBS*),
In Cravings Covets and Crushes, you can’t sign up for the Indigodragonfly Geek Club anymore, but it’s in there because Karen did sign up and so there will be chatter about it later, and so you can keep an eye out on what this one is like, if they decide to run it again. There’s also lots of geeky gift ideas that came out in the run up to the holidays, including ornaments (which might be on sale now!), geeky adult colouring books (including a few for Harry Potter and a Doctor Who and Sherlock one!), and some amazing geeky cookie cutters.
