	Description:		Trump Gathers Like-Minded California Leaders, Rails Against ‘Sanctuary’ Policies This week, the Central Valley town of Hanford became the latest jurisdiction to oppose California’s sanctuary state laws, including SB54. It’s now part of a growing number of cities and counties taking this step. A group of California elected officials from those communities was invited to the White House yesterday to discuss how they can work with the federal government. Reporter: Alex Hall Los Alamitos Mayor Seeks Financial Help from Trump Administration One of the first municipalities to adopt ordinances opposing those laws is the Orange County city of Los Alamitos. The mayor there is Troy Edgar; he was also at the White House meeting. Edgar urged the Trump Administration to help pay for lawsuits his city is facing. Guest: Troy Edgar Surfrider Foundation Joins Lawsuit Against Federal Government Over Tijuana Sewage Spill San Diego’s Water Board, the California Attorney General and the environmental group Surfrider are all planning to sue the federal government because of cross-border sewage flows in the Tijuana River Valley. Reporter: Erik Anderson California Arts Council Could See Funding Boost A State Senate budget sub-committee is meeting today to consider a multi-million dollar boost to the state arts budget. Reporter: Chloe Veltman Proposed Changes to the 2018 Farm Bill Could Make Californians Access to Food Stamps Harder A massive piece of legislation known as the Farm Bill could come up for a vote in the House of Representatives this week. Tucked in it are changes that would tighten eligibility rules for the food aid program that benefits one in ten Californians.
