U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw issued the temporary injunction to end family separation, saying the “situation had reached a crisis level.” Reporter: Julie Small Jeff Sessions Met By Protests During L.A. Visit. Attorney General Jeff Sessions visited a conservative group in Los Angeles, and he called critics of the administration’s family separation policy the “lunatic fringe.” While Sessions may have been greeted warmly inside the Biltmore Hotel where he spoke, that wasn’t the case outside. At least 25 protesters were arrested as demonstrators took to the streets.
