Firefighters Face Hills of Flames, Fire Tornadoes in Shasta County Wildfire

The deadly Carr Fire burning in Shasta County has spread to nearly 99,000 acres and is currently 20 percent contained. The flames have killed at least six people and several are still missing. Fire officials say that the fire has been so destructive, in part, because it became wildly unpredictable, resulting in fire tornadoes that moved without warning.

Months Later, Guatemalan Father Still Struggling to Get Daughter Back

We’ve been following the story of a young girl from Guatemala who was taken from her father by Border Patrol agents in May. Her dad was prosecuted and deported. He wants his daughter back, but months later, she is one of hundreds of migrant children who remain in government custody after their parents were deported.
