LA Teachers Strike Ends

Los Angeles teachers are going back to work to this morning. Their union has reached a tentative deal with the LA Unified School District. Last night over 30,000 union members voted to approve the deal, which ended the strike. At issue was higher pay, classroom size and increased staffing.

Supreme Court Revives Trump’s Ban on Transgender Military Personnel for Now

The legal battle over President Trump’s ban on transgender people in the military is back in the hands of the San Francisco-based 9th Circuit Court of Appeals following yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling allowing the temporary enforcement of the order.
