Trump Press Secretary Sarah Sanders Asked to Leave Restaurant

Category: News & Politics
Duration: 00:52:27
Publish Date: 2018-06-25 12:00:00
Description:

Owners of a Virginia restaurant asked White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders to leave Friday night, citing their objections to Trump administration policies. Sanders broke the news herself on Twitter, singling out the restaurant by name. “[The owner’s] actions say far more about her than about me,” she tweeted. Owner Stephanie Wilkinson pointed to Sanders’ defense of the administration’s migrant family-separation policy, among other issues. “This feels like the moment in our democracy when people have to make uncomfortable actions and decisions to uphold their morals,” Wilkinson told the Washington Post. Was the restaurant’s decision appropriate? We’ll take up the debate.
