NPR’s David Folkenflik on When the White House Tells Lies

Category: News & Politics
Duration: 00:34:51
Publish Date: 2018-06-22 12:00:00
Description:

A recent Fact Checker column in The Washington Post finds that President Trump has made more than 3,250 spurious claims since taking office. And it’s not just the president misleading the public. Just this week, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen denied that separating immigrant children from their parents was aimed at deterring families from coming to the U.S., despite contrary claims made by her predecessor John Kelly. NPR media correspondent David Folkenflik joins us to discuss what happens when a country’s leaders are so prolifically deceptive. Tell us — what do you think of the media’s coverage of the Trump administration?
