‘Hard Truths’: An Inside Look at U.S. Intelligence with James Clapper

Category: News & Politics
Duration: 00:52:35
Publish Date: 2018-06-11 11:00:00
Description:

James Clapper served as director of national intelligence from 2010 to 2017, longer than all three of his predecessors combined. The Obama appointee was at the helm during the intelligence community’s highest profile and arguably, most controversial, moments: the raid on Osama bin Laden, Edward Snowden’s revelations on NSA surveillance, the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi and Russian interference in the 2016 election. Clapper joins the program to discuss why he’s finally decided to share his personal story and why he believes the world of intelligence needs to become more transparent.

Guests:
Lt. General James Clapper,
former director of national intelligence; author, “Facts & Fears: Hard Truths from a Life in Intelligence”
