The House of Representatives rejected the Farm Bill Friday morning, voting 198 to 213. CalFresh, California’s food stamp program, was set to get a major overhaul if the bill had passed. The measure proposed stricter eligibility and work requirements for food stamp recipients, which would have had a large impact on California, where 1 in 10 people utilize the benefit. We’ll discuss why the bill failed, the Farm Bill’s future and what it could mean for CalFresh recipients. Guests: Rich Klein, political director, ABC News Farida Jhabvala Romero, reporter, KQED News
