Born in a kibbutz in 1942, Ehud Barak served as Israel’s prime minister from 1999 to 2001, and many years in key positions in the nation’s military. He joins Forum to discuss his new memoir, “My Country, My Life,” which captures the successes and failures of Israel’s first seventy years. We’ll also get his take on recent news, including prospects for peace after this week’s violence in Gaza, and why he thinks the U.S. withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal was misguided.
