On May 12th, poet jessica Care moore brings her Detroit-based production of Black WOMEN Rock! to San Francisco. Created in honor of 70’s funk and soul singer Betty Davis, the show intends to inspire future generations of black female rockers, and showcases more than 20 black female musicians. jessica joins Forum to talk about the show, which is part of the Yerba Buena Center’s Spring Transform Fest, with YBCA’s Chief of Program and Pedagogy, Marc Bamuthi Joseph.
