Category: News & Politics
Duration: 00:52:18
Publish Date: 2018-05-04 12:00:00
Description:

In 2015, more than 72,000 babies were born in the United States from harvested eggs — either via egg donation or egg freezing, according the latest CDC data. As demand for donated eggs soars, and more women choose to freeze their eggs for future use, we look at the benefits and risks associated with egg retrieval, donation and storage. And we want to hear from you: if you have chosen to freeze your eggs, use an egg bank or donate your eggs, what was the process like? Was it what you expected?

Guests:
Diane Tober, assistant professor and medical anthropologist, UCSF School of Nursing; creator of the upcoming documentary “The Perfect Donor”
Aimee Eyvazzadeh, reproductive endocrinologist; host, “Egg Whisperer Show”; founder, Freeze and Share
