Author and podcast host Steve Almond says we construct reality through stories that are “invented and refined by particular narrators with particular agendas.”  His new book, “Bad Stories,” identifies 17 false narratives — such as “nobody would vote for a guy like that” — which dominated the 2016 election and led to the rise of Trumpism. Almond joins Forum to discuss why faulty stories persist and what he thinks it will take to heal political divisions in the country.
