The Warriors are keeping “Golden State” in their name even after they move across the Bay in 2019, team president Rick Welts announced on Wednesday. Some fans had hoped for a return to the San Francisco Warriors moniker, which was the team’s name from 1962-71. We’ll check in with Welts about the decision and about the injury-plagued team’s prospects for a repeat of last year’s championship. We’ll also talk with him about his recent election to the NBA Hall of Fame.
