Election 2018: California’s Proposition 7 Could Make Daylight Saving Time Permanent

Category: News & Politics
Duration: 00:52:45
Publish Date: 2018-10-22 13:00:00
Description: This November, California voters will decide if they still want to turn back the clock. If passed, Proposition 7 would allow the state legislature to adopt Daylight Saving Time year-round, if federal law is amended to allow such a change. Supporters say a permanent Daylight Saving Time would save energy and lower health risks associated with the twice-yearly time shifts. Opponents say winter mornings would become too dark and worry about the logistical costs of implementing the change. We'll take up the debate and discuss the history and future of Daylight Saving Time.
