Description: Attorney General Jeff Sessions resigned at the president’s request Wednesday. Sessions has been replaced by his Chief of Staff Matthew Whitaker, who is on record as saying that special counsel Robert Mueller has exceeded his authority. Sessions, an early ally of President Trump, has been repeatedly criticized by the president for recusing himself from the investigation into collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. We’ll learn more about Whitaker and discuss what Sessions’ departure – along with the new Democratic majority in the House of Representatives -- could mean for the Russia investigation.
