The Trump Administration announced this week that it will cancel a $929 million federal grant to the California High Speed Rail Authority and at the same time seek to claw back $2.5 billion in federal funds already spent on the bullet train project. The announcement came shortly after California and other states filed a lawsuit challenging the President’s national emergency declaration to fund a southern border wall. In this segment we’ll talk about what all this means for the future of the rail project.
