David and Nic Sheff’s twin father and son memoirs about dealing with drug addiction inspired the 2018 film “Beautiful Boy.” Now, they want to shift the conversation about drugs from the old slogan “just say no” to “just say know.” Their new book “High: Everything You Want to Know About Drugs, Alcohol and Addiction” is a resource for young readers, from fifth to eighth grade. It uses research and personal stories to provide facts about specific drugs and alcohol. Nic and David Sheff join Forum to discuss how to encourage conversations about addiction and its consequences.
