Sonali Kolhatkar is the host of the show Rising Up with Sonali, the longest running morning, drive-time radio program hosted by a woman. In addition to hosting the daily show, she’s also he Racial Justice editor at Yes! Magazine and Senior Correspondent for the Independent Media Institute‘s Economy for All project. We also talk to Rinku Sen, who wrote the foreword to the book Rising Up. Rinku was the Executive Director of Race Forward and Publisher of their award-winning news site and magazine Colorlines for many years. She is currently the executive director of the Narrative Initiative.
