Description: The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department has, “failed to adequately prevent and respond to the deaths of individuals in its custody,” according to an investigation by the California State Auditor. And Hate crimes increased sharply in San Diego and across the country in recent years. Early findings show the trend grew even worse in 2021.
