-An interesting write-up yesterday on FiveThirtyEight.com showed a little insight into how the committee selects teams, beyond the RPI and BPI numbers—instead, a measure called the SOR (Strength of Record) has been used by the committee that past few years to determine the field
-Where does Nebraska show up on this chart? 35th, good enough for a projected 9 seed in the NCAA Tournament. However, if you want to make fun of this measure…Arizona is only a few spots higher than Nebraska and listed as an 8-seed (which is far too low for them)
-Any chance this holds up when it comes to Selection Sunday? Take THAT, NIT Bracketology!
