Description: Pianist, composer and bandleader Django Bates has been one of the most innovative figures on the European jazz scene since the 1980s. In front of an audience at this year's Cheltenham Jazz Festival, he joins Alyn Shipton to look back over his recorded career from his early days with Loose Tubes to his more recent bands. As well as his group Human Chain, he also discusses his Danish StoRMChaser project and his recent album Beloved Bird.
