I'm on holiday, so this month I'm unlocking an episode of my Patreon bonus podcast, UNTITLED HORROR SCREENPLAY.
Part One: I try to establish a new horror subgenre called DETERMINISTIC HORROR. ie. horror films in which the grisly end is cosmically ordained from the very beginning. I talk about The Shining (1980), The Tenant (1976), Hereditary (2018), plus a bit on Midsommar (2019).
Part Two: I pitch my own “Doom-locked” horror film, extremely loosely inspired by the movie Groundhog Day.
