In this Spotlight episode, Monte Larrick interviews Kelly Shackleford, President and CEO of First Liberty Institute, the largest legal firm in the nation dedicated exclusively to protecting religious freedom for all Americans. Shackleford addresses the dangers of the Equality Act: “your church would not be able to hire based upon it’s biblical beliefs, if it disagreed with the LGBT community’s beliefs on those issues.” Shackleford also describes how the Equality Act will damage America’s youth, and how it removes parents rights from the conversation: “you got the Government really overruling what happens with your children, what the meaning of sex is, whether there’s male and female.
