Taylor Curator at the Morgan Library and Museum and Head of its Department of Literary and Historical Manuscripts. During this time he curated major exhibitions focusing on Jane Austen, Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, Edgar Allan Poe, and Abraham Lincoln.
