Wesley Murph started a pet business because he didn't want to work for someone else. It went well. An episode of Cesar Milan's Dog Whisperer was even filmed at his shop. After that, the business exploded. The top line was great, but when Wesley looked at the bottom line, he started wondering if all the work was really worth it.
He was tethered to the business. He had to pay the bills, open the doors, manage the employees and all the other things that go along with running a brick and mortar store.
Since he is fiercely devoted to lifestyle, Wesley looked at his options. One of the parts of his business he really enjoyed and was quite good at it was the marketing. Particularly direct response marketing.
“If you are waiting on that perfect opportunity, product or time, it's not going to happen”
So he started looking at his options. One rose to the surface. Copywriting. Wesley shut down the pet business and started a copywriting business. Now he makes money at home and on most days – he's done by noon.
Let's find out how he did it.
On this episode of the “How to Quit Working Show” Wesley is going to tell us how he accomplished all that as well as:
- How to Create a business that's structured so you don't have to be a “check chaser.”
- How to Actually GET Clients!
- How he avoids endlessly chasing prospects who are never going to become clients.
